Tradesk Securities (Tradesk), a US broker-dealer serving institutional and emerging professional investors, recently launched US equities and options trading for its clients, providing access to complex options strategies and multiple asset classes from a single account. The launch is powered by Alpaca, a global leader in agent-first brokerage infrastructure.
Founded in 2021, Tradesk is a registered US broker-dealer and member of FINRA and SIPC, offering app-based commission-free trading, with real-time market data and AI-driven analytics. The company aims to bring institutional-grade infrastructure to the retail experience, giving a new generation of investors, from everyday users to active traders, the strategies and tools traditionally reserved for professionals. As those investors moved toward faster, more automated trading, Tradesk needed an execution partner that could keep pace without the cost and complexity of building the backend infrastructure in-house.
"Our clients are institutional and emerging professional investors who increasingly operate in a low-touch, electronic environment," said Eric Chu, CEO of Tradesk. "With Alpaca, we can provide modern, cost-efficient execution infrastructure that lets them trade complex options strategies and access multiple asset classes from a single account. It removes friction for our customers, and lets us focus on delivering a better trading experience."
Powered by Alpaca's Broker API, Tradesk now offers trading across US equities and options with Alpaca handling the execution, clearing, and custody behind the scenes. Rather than maintaining separate systems for each asset class, Tradesk runs both through a single account structure, giving clients a unified view of their positions and the ability to trade eligible, multi-leg options strategies alongside their equities.
"Today’s investors expect fast, cost-efficient access to multiple asset classes through one seamless trading experience," said Yoshi Yokokawa, Co-Founder and CEO of Alpaca. "By bringing US equities and options together through Alpaca’s single API, we help partners like Tradesk expand their offering and deliver sophisticated trading capabilities to their clients."
With US equities and options now live, Tradesk plans to continue expanding the products and tools available to its clients through Alpaca's infrastructure.
