Crypto has been a hot topic for quite some time. But with over 300 crypto exchanges tracked on CoinMarketCap¹, finding the right exchange can be challenging. To help you surf your options, we've put together a quick rundown of five crypto trading platforms that offer mobile apps for on-the-go crypto trading.

1. Voyager

Voyager is a U.S.-based crypto broker that offers commission-free trading for 80+ different crypto assets.² The firm was founded in 2017 and facilitates trading across more than a dozen crypto exchanges and market makers.³

One feature that sets Voyager apart from its competitors is the Voyager Earn Program, which offers rewards of up to 12% annually on 30+ cryptocurrencies.⁴

Key Features:

  • Commission-free trading
  • Supports 80+ top crypto assets
  • Interest-bearing crypto savings accounts
  • $10 minimum deposit
  • USD held with Voyager is FDIC insured up to $250k

Fees: Voyager does not charge any fees. It does, however, earn money if it saves you money by executing your order at a better price.⁵

Trading on the Voyager app is currently available to all U.S. residents, excluding New York state.⁵

2. Coinberry

Coinberry launched in 2017 as a crypto trading platform built for Canadians. The Toronto-based crypto exchange supports 29 cryptocurrencies⁶ and is OSC and FINTRAC registered⁷ and PIPEDA compliant.

One of its notable features is AutoPilot, which allows traders to set up recurring purchases.⁸ Coinberry Pay, its payment processing solution, also allows merchants to accept crypto as a form of payment.⁹

Key Features:

  • Supports 29 cryptocurrencies
  • Instant account verification
  • Auto-purchase functionality
  • $200 million insurance coverage

Fees: Coinberry offers 0% CAD funding and withdrawal fees.⁶

At the time of writing, Coinberry is currently only available in Canada.

3. eToroX

eToroX, the professional crypto exchange of eToro, is designed to meet the needs of corporate and institutional-grade crypto traders, algorithmic traders, day traders, and high net worth individuals. It offers crypto assets like cryptocurrencies and stable coins, as well as the infrastructure to support tokenized assets.

In order to access the eToroX exchange, you need to create an eToro trading account. If you want to deposit USD via Signet, the minimum deposit required is $10,000. If you're using wire transfer to deposit USD, the minimum deposit is $50,000.¹⁰

Key Features:¹¹

  • 80+ pairs of crypto, FX, and commodities
  • Credit program for spot trading
  • Fully managed, cold storage Custody as a Service solution
  • Advanced order types: FOK, IOC, and GTC TIF

Fees: eToroX offers a default of 5 bps for all client grades regardless of volume and uses the taker-maker model for its fees.¹⁰ This flips the traditional maker-taker pricing structure and “encourages better order execution quality,” according to eToroX.¹² Makers are charged a fee between 0.1%-0.03% depending on the order size. Takers are charged a fee between 0.24%-0.12% depending on the order size.¹³

At present, eToroX is not available to U.S. users. See a full list of supported countries here.

4. CrossTower

Founded in 2019, CrossTower is a crypto exchange that offers capital market capabilities, with offices in the U.S., Bermuda, and India. CrossTower was “built from the ground up for institutions and professional traders.” The trading platform offers market data and trading services through FIX, RESTful, and WebSocket APIs, “tight bid-ask spreads,” and a low-cost trading model.¹⁴

Key Features:¹⁴

  • Commission-free trading
  • Offers subaccount support
  • FIX, WebSocket, and REST interfaces support up to 300 messages per second per client
  • Matching engine built to handle 100,000+ transactions per second
  • Average execution latency < 800 microseconds

Fees: Similar to eToroX, CrossTower uses a taker-maker fee structure. See CrossTower’s fee schedule here.

5. Huobi

Huobi was originally launched in China in 2013 and ranks among the top 10 crypto exchanges in trading volume.¹⁵ With tens of millions of users worldwide, the Seychelles-based exchange is a strong player in the Asian markets¹⁶ and supports trading for 348 cryptocurrencies.¹⁷

Huobi’s platform offers spot trading, derivatives trading, staking, crypto loans, crypto yield products, and more.¹⁶ It has an exchange-based and native token, Huobi Token (HT). This token can be used to buy monthly VIP status plans for transaction fee discounts, trade against popular coins, and more.¹⁸

Key Features:

  • Spot, margin, and futures trading
  • Offers 348 cryptocurrencies and more than 927 trading pairs
  • Supports 57+ fiat currencies
  • Offers Huobi Wallet, a non-custodial wallet

Fees: Huobi charges a 0.2% base fee for both makers and takers.¹⁶ Deposit fees vary by country and deposit method, and there are no withdrawal fees. Huobi Token holders receive a discount on trading fees, which decreases the more HT a Huobi user has in their exchange wallet.

Huobi is not available in the United States or Canada.
