Mariangela: Hi, everyone. I'm here with Alex Roland, Sales Director at Alpaca. And today, we're gonna do a video of Chatting with Alpaca about the use cases of Alpaca, who can join and build a fintech app with us.
Alex: Just as a bit of background. I'm our Sales Director here at Alpaca and I've been helping partners with the Broker API for over two years now. So we've seen quite a different variety and different regulations, license structures and whatnot. So I've been to that now.
Internationally, there's two key different licenses that we can typically work with. The first is your broker dealer license and second is gonna be an advisory license. They can be different permutations of those licensed. For example, in the UK, you could be an appointed representative. In Australia, you could be a corporate authorized representative. You could also be part of sandbox. For example, the Saudi Arabia sandbox for Robo advisors would be another option. So if you think your license, local regulatory regime, has something comparable to a broker dealer or an advisory license, definitely worth reaching out, having a conversation with us so that we can do a little bit of vetting together and see if that'll work for our compliance and our regulations.
Inside of the US, we can support the same two structures. So the broker dealers and the advisers, but we can also work with companies. So we can work with our regular firms in a compliant manner where we'll oversee a lot of your processes, we will oversee your marketing materials, so we make sure that we're compliant in the eyes of the SEC and FINRA. And so that's the key difference, is being able to work with those unregulated companies in the US. We've seen that be a big asset obviously for a lot of startups that want to get involved and build businesses in this space, but don't have the time or capital potentially to jump right into becoming a full broker dealer. So we're really excited to support that segment of partners.
Mariangela: Amazing. Thank you. So, where can they find more information about this or if they have any questions, can they reach out to you?
Alex: Yeah, absolutely. There's a lot of great resources on our website. You'll see a contact us form. That's the quickest way to get in touch with a person from my team. You can also email me directly, it's just [email protected]. So, yeah, there's a variety of ways to reach out. I'd say the website and the form are the two best places to start, but you know, feel free to reach out to us on LinkedIn or email as well and we're usually very responsive.
Mariangela: Amazing. Thank you so much. Thank you for giving us that information and I hope this helps our viewers and if you're interested, don't hesitate and reach out to us and we'll be able to help you. Thank you, Alex. Thanks everyone.
Alex: Thank you. Thank you, everyone.
