Web 3.0, also known as the third generation web, is permissionless, decentralized, and draws code designs from open sources.1 By applying advanced features like AI and machine learning, Web 3.0 removes the need for centralized platforms for data exchanges.
Features of Web 3.0
The premise of Web 3.0 is decentralization. And its content could be highly customized. For example, ads would no longer be a random event, but tailored to a user’s wants and needs based on his or her on-chain activities.
Web 3.0 also aims to promote open ecosystems so that almost any participant can contribute to the advancement of networks and platforms.
The challenge today is that decentralized webs can create issues among governments, given that activities cross physical borders.
Example
Bill has made trades on Uniswap. To qualify for a unique badge on Project Galaxy based on his on-chain activities, he would also need to make trades on Aave and Arbitrum.
