Bybit, the New Financial Platform used by more than 80 million users worldwide, today announced that stocks trading is available through the Bybit platform, enabling access to over 1,000 US stocks and ETFs.1,2 The new products are provided by Infra Capital Limited, a regulated Investment Dealer under the Financial Services Commission, Mauritius, and powered by Alpaca, a global leader in agent-first brokerage and clearing infrastructure.
With the launch, Bybit expands its multi-asset ecosystem, connecting traditional equity markets with digital assets inside a single account. We recently spoke with Ben Zhou, Co-Founder and CEO of Bybit, about the launch.
Becoming The New Financial Platform
Bybit was founded in 2018 with the aim of making financial markets more accessible, transparent, and easier to participate in. That approach has since made Bybit one of the largest crypto exchanges by trading volume, with more than 80 million registered users across 181 countries and regions.1

“When Bybit started, crypto was still a relatively new market, and the experience for traders was quite fragmented. We wanted to build a platform that could provide the technology, liquidity, and reliability that people expected from modern financial markets,” said Zhou. “From the beginning, I saw crypto as more than just another asset class. It was a new way of thinking about financial infrastructure, one that could operate globally and continuously, without many of the traditional barriers between markets. That idea has stayed with us today.”
Today, Bybit positions itself as the New Financial Platform, expanding beyond solely a crypto exchange. Their long-term mission is to reduce the barriers to modern finance for the 1.4 billion underbanked people worldwide.1
“When we introduced the vision of the New Financial Platform, the idea was to build a platform where people could access more of the world's financial opportunities through one connected ecosystem,” added Zhou. “Today, that ecosystem spans digital assets, traditional financial markets, payments, spending, and earning. Users can access hundreds of crypto assets, traditional-market instruments, peer-to-peer fiat and crypto markets, Bybit Pay, Bybit Card, and yield products, all within the same platform.”
By making US equities available through their platform, Bybit is connecting traditional financial markets with the crypto-native infrastructure and experience that their users already know.
Closing the Access Gap Between Crypto and US Equities
Demand for diversified asset classes has grown steadily across Bybit's global community, with users looking for ways to bridge traditional financial markets with digital strategies. Bybit addresses that demand by bringing US equities into the platform through the Unified Trading Account (UTA) experience.

"Bringing US Stocks trading to the Bybit platform allows us to operate as a dynamic marketplace,” explained Zhou. “This launch allows us to meet the growing sophistication of our users head-on, offering a unified user experience where clients can access global markets cleanly, efficiently, and securely.”
Through this partnership with Alpaca, Bybit users can*:
- Invest in over 1,000 US-listed stocks and ETFs, with fractional shares available on eligible securities
- Access a variety of trading strategies across traditional and digital markets
- Trade 24/5 across US pre-market, regular, and after-hours sessions
Built on Regulated Infrastructure
Alpaca’s robust, regulated, and self-clearing infrastructure made it possible for Bybit to offer US equities in a way that appeals to users seeking conventional regulatory frameworks and standard settlement structures.

“Collaborating with the Alpaca team has been an exceptional experience, as their innovative spirit matches our own commitment to pushing financial technology forward,” added Zhou. “Working with a partner that understands both traditional institutional standards and modern API-driven scalability ensures that users accessing services through the Bybit platform receive a reliable, top-tier experience. Throughout the development and testing phases, Alpaca’s team demonstrated deep industry expertise, responsiveness, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which greatly accelerated our path to launch.”

“Bybit set out to connect traditional and digital markets inside one platform, and this launch demonstrates what that looks like in practice,” said Yoshi Yokokawa, Co-Founder and CEO of Alpaca. “Our regulated, self-clearing infrastructure supports Bybit in bringing US equities trading to their platform through Infra Capital Limited, a regulated investment dealer, giving their users access to US markets alongside the digital assets they already hold. We are proud to support Bybit as they expand access to traditional markets.”
Scaling Access to US Equities Across Regions
With the launch, Bybit is measuring success based on user adoption, engagement, and satisfaction. “Our immediate focus is on ensuring a smooth rollout, maintaining high operational reliability, and observing how users integrate US equities into their overall portfolio management strategies,” said Zhou. “Given the strong preliminary interest we have seen from our community, we are optimistic that our users will have a positive experience.”
Looking ahead, Alpaca and Bybit will continue to explore ways to partner and deliver more value to their users.
