Crypto assets can be purchased with settled cash only, while crypto buys and sells settles immediately in the account (i.e no settling period), securities transactions however, take two business days (T+2) to settle, so cash resulting from a security sell today will be reflected in the Non-Marginable Buying Power (ie crypto buying power) after two business days.
